Famous Cities of the World: Venice





Venice is a warren of canals. Where most cities have roads, Venice has canals. Venice is situated on 120 islands formed by 177 canals in the lagoon between the mouths of the Po and Piave rivers, at the northern extremity of the Adriatic Sea. Because of its historic role as a naval power and commercial center, the city is known as the "Queen of the Adriatic.". A railroad and highway causeway connects Venice with the mainland.

Venice is a nice beached area flattened by. Venice is a glorious clinch more romantic, more beautiful and more surprising than you could expect. No matter how many photographs or films you may have seen, it is still a jaw-dropping experience seeing Venice's canals and palaces for the first time. People cross the canals by many small bridges. Venice, a city of thousand hopes that bring together artists and children, Venetians and foreigners, lovers and disappointed people, any human being which has linked this city to their idea of life.
